That is fake salafi propaganda put on the internet.

This incident never happened.

Only time sheikh were killed was in 1975.

There wasn't a second incident.

And btw, the entire Somalia was Sufi at that time so I wonder why u wanna even blame Sufism for Siyad barre

Pheww, I thought they might've gotten you too. But I should've known u were too smart to follow their nonsense. It's sad how Somali youth nowadays are either hardcore Salafis or very liberal. What happened to moderation and being a normal Somali conservative Muslim (not extreme and not liberal) like our forefathers? It's sad.
war.

These Saudi Sheikhs are great at criticising other world leaders but keep quiet when their kings kiss Bush on the cheeks or dance with Trump.

Allah ka baq.
Aun but tbh somalis shouldve banned any students of ibn baz, Uthaymeen & Albaani and any publications from saudi such as darusalam. Saudi publications literally removed large portions out of ulama books like imam an nawawi because it was against their ideology. These guys caused & their movement funded by petro caused irreparable damage to the ummah. There wouldn't be any qaida, shabaab, booko haram or isis if it wasn't for the spreading of this salafism/wahabism
Akh if something is bid'ah we have to reject it. Please dont associate the Haq with the Khawaarij.
And now we have Salafis killing over 350 of their own people in suicide bombings.
you're a liar.

Bro tell me one thing the wahhabis have contributed to Islam, other than death and destruction. They're the once that wiped out the last standing khulifah with the help of Gaalo. They gave us the first fucking suicide bombings, and terrorizing the Muslim communities around the world while dragging the name of Islam through the ground.
They're demons

- Ottomans wasn't a legitimate caliphate but a empire.
- Suicide is haraam so is terrorising people.

Akh the way of sahaaba (Salaf) is the only way. You're no different from Raafidi shias if you attack the sahaabas.

MSB was a butcher of Saudi imperialism. He bathed in the blood of Arab wannabes. I celebrate the anniversary of the execution of those verminous wadaads every year.
Barre was a Somali patriot. And for that, he will be rewarded by the Lord of the worlds.

We do follow the way of the Salaf, just not the 19-20th century Salafi movement who claims to follow the way of the Salad, but are in fact the furthest away from it. Especially the likes of you who obey Saudi Arabia, yet laugh at the deaths of Somalis. Had they been Syrians, or Palestinians who died, you would have been wailing and crying.

They did a lot of damage because Siad Barre refused to let go and they entered a power vacuum (high illiteracy rates play a huge role too). It goes back to a point I made before with regard to shameless behaviour out in the open such as alcoholism.

With that, they spread these extreme ideologies (and people were sympathizing because of the shameless behaviour done out in the open) but the funny thing is Somalis for the most part take whatever they want and leave behind whatever they want. They are not even committed to being extreme.

It's always best to have a happy medium, lakum deenakum waliya deen. People who are so confident they're the best Muslims won't be so confident during yomul qiyamah. :pachah1:

The ottoman empire was a standing caliphate of the Islamic word the moment they took Mecca and Medina you fool. That's agreed upon even by the most extreme Salafis, it's utterly stupid of you to say that the Ottomans weren't a Khulifah.

Secondly tell that to the prominent Salafi Zakir Niak, who said Suicide bombings are allowed. It's undeniable that almost all terrorist groups aside from the shia ones like Hezbollah, all adhere to Salafism.

If you actually read the whole thing in the link that you showed then you would realise this:

When the ‘Abbasid caliphate grew weak at the time of al-Mustamsik Billah and his son al-Mutawakkil, and the Ottoman sultan was strong, he seized the caliphate after the death of al-Mutawakkil, the ‘Abbasid caliph (may Allah have mercy on him).

Al-‘Isaami (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

Al-Mustamsik Billah remained as caliph until he grew old and lost his sight, and the Ottoman state was strong; they took over Egypt and Sultan Saleem took him (al- Mustamsik Billah) with him to Istanbul, where he remained until Sultan Saleem died. Then he returned to Egypt and was deposed, and his son al-Mutawakkil ‘Ali ibn al-Mustamsik Billah was appointed caliph in Sha‘baan 914 AH, and remained caliph until he died on 12 Sha‘baan 995 AH. With his death the nominal caliphate in Egypt also ended.

End quote from Samt al-Nujoom al-‘Awaali (3/533)

So the rule of Sultan Saleem became a valid rule by means of force. He was a powerful ruler and a courageous leader. His main ambition was to unite the Muslim regions, especially after the fall of Andalusia, and because of the weakness of the Abbasids and the danger posed by the Crusaders to the Muslim world.

If the Qurashi caliphate grows weak, and one who is stronger and more powerful seizes the position of caliph and rules in accordance with the Book of Allah, and he is more beneficial to the Muslims, his rule is legitimate and valid, and it is obligatory to hear and obey in his case.

Conclusion:

The Ottoman caliphate was a legitimate and valid caliphate, under whom the ummah was united.

The Ottoman caliphate carried the banner of Islam and raised the flag of jihad for several centuries, and crusader Europe used to fear it and look for an opportunity to put an end to it, until they were able to achieve that at the beginning of the last century.

The Ottoman sultans varied in terms of their adherence to the faith and the soundness of the ‘aqeedah (beliefs). But we do not cast aspersions upon the validity of their caliphate, especially during the times when they were strong and the Muslims were united behind them. Whatever happened of shortcomings or deviations among them in later eras, it is for Allah to judge.
