How do you know that Somalis had no input into how the colonial flag looked? Some of you love to give credit to other people for everything. The real problem here, is that Somalis have a problem recording their own history and leave it to others to do so, and that's why we have lost a lot of history.

The back story of the flag itself is a joke wlhi. But Somalia hasn't been a "slave state" until 91

From 1960 to 69 Somalia was un aligned country alognside nations like Egypt. The country banned all foreign military bases and played ball With USA and USSR whenever it wanted. Afterwards it was socialist under Siad. And even after Soviets told Siad to not invade Ethiopia the guy matched into Galbeed and took 60% of the land within less than a month before socialists tagged teamed against Somalia. After the state collapse Somalia can officially be called a colonial state. There's no autonomy left for Somalis now.
