The funny thing is my friends/cousins who are single mothers get more proposals than the single girls I know. If you are an attractive woman who takes care of herself you will have many men wanting you even if you have 10 kids running behind you.

Ofcourse its happening in the west.....its a female dominated society(I see it too) but females are doing better then males since they get more support from the system, so the men that are struggling are going to marry for survival sake. Once they get their shit together tho and achieve their longterm goals they always end up in somali with a young wife and that's what really gets women mad

not true. It’s more the other way around. In Somalia women marry very young and it isn’t unusual to see them divorced and a single mother at like 21 unfortunately, and yes they do get married again. Especially in big cities. In fact, the vast majority get married again 5x easier than a Western women getting remarried.

Also, fobs are more accepting of single mothers. Traditionally and culturally women would often be able to marry again.

Actually you're right, there's something called dumaal which is marrying your dead brothers wife, maybe it's function is to keep wealth within the family, and I don't know how common it is these days, I know it happened to one uncle of mine.
