Should Ogaden be merged with Jubaland if Ethiopia collapses?

I am not from that area and I think the people who live there should decide since they are the most affected by any decision and know what is better for them. I only wish them good luck and a happy and peaceful life!

I can tell you in the Hawd and reservedAreas we wanna invoke article 39 then join Somaaliland, whether or nor it means uniting with Muqdisho. ofc tge main reason for the union with Italian Somaalia was to work together on getting self determination EthioSomaali people

An independent Galbeed would more likely join Somaliland if it doesn't go at it alone.

Jubaland can't secede from Somalia and I doubt Jijiga would want to be ruled by Xamar.

Most the Galbeed population lives near the hawd and it would make more sense logistically since Kismayo is over a thousand miles away from Jijiga.

either way JL and Ogadenia are inseparable they would either become independent and use their weight there to make sure JL is always an Ogaden state or they join together and do the same. Thats when the NFD phase begins

They are significantly closer to eachother then to Hawiye but they could not be further politically.

In reality what would happen is a border war in which if you aimed for Gashamo and Wajaale SSC would be invaded in return(A trade I am willing to make). Neither party would want a conflict in such a politically sensitive time so both will probably stand by for some years until the time is right whilst trying to handle things diplomatically.

I doubt they would give up land and I doubt Somaliland would fight a war for it either considering a major barrier to their ictiraaf has been lifted.

SL isn’t a country saxib it is impossible to join them furthermore we wouldn’t want to adopt them because they would claim Xawd thats not something that would be on the table. Also why would they join a de-facto clan state and not Somalia the legit state our culture isn’t even that similiar past Awaare

Also what do you know of NFD? Do you realize they were the ones that founded JL in the first place aswell as orchestrated the talks to get ONLF legitimacy to make it the state party?

NFD doesn’t have a current Jabhad because they choose their battles and we gain alot from using Kenyas assets right now. If Ogadenia became independent do you think the Ogadens who used every ounce of their muscle and wealth to create JL would choose Kenya?! Forget the Ogadens even the Degoodi would probably choose Ogadenia. Remember I have actually sat, met, and spoken with these politicians for long periods.

The hawd is primarily inhabited by Isaaqs so you'll always have that clash of interest hanging over unless they unite.

Jubaland is valuable but they don't need to join it to gain control over it.

The opposing clans might not be able to stop them but the "international community" would use that as an excuse to sanction the new independent state which they probably don't want to see exist in the first place.

Somaliland is pretty much autonomous had the right to secede just like the Galbeed does so they wouldn't be breaking any international laws there.

NFD Somali patriots could just stay there since they'll be more useful influencing Kenya as citizens instead of breaking up the country.

All they get out of it is some arid land, millions of non somalis they have to house and pissing of Brittain again who holds a grudge like a crazed ex.
