Sabaayad is Indian Chapati although we learned that word and the food from Adeni Yemenis who call it Sabaaya.Many words especially in SL Somali is from Aden like the word Daaqad (window) is from Adeni Arabic Daaqa![]()
If you want to be Arab that's your issue, I'm Darood and I don't believe the fake Shaykh Al jeberti and Shaykh Isaaq stories. Arab influence in somali culture is obvious but not any more than Arab influence in Persian, Pakistani of Bangladeshi culture.
