The Isaaq sacrificed their sons for the Ogaden war and allowed us to use Hargeisa as a forward operating base against the Ethiopians, their honour and loyalty can’t be questioned. The only gripe I have with them is this so called Somaliland project which is built on the legacy of our former colonial masters.


As for the fighting, I’m disappointed to say the least. Somaliland and Puntland fighting over some dusty tuulo leaves a bad taste in my mouth, end of the day muslims are dying and the fact that it’s happening in ramadhan, just makes it more tragic.
