Exactly I don't know why oromo are so desperate for some somali lands which are dry asf.
They can easily go south and chop up scared bantus and take some of the most fertile land on the continent.
Where is the logic behind this??

Up until the scramble for Africa, somali and muslim oromo were expanding into Kenya and taking bantu lands. We can easily continue our joint expansion instead of fighting over some arid village that's hours away from a water source.

Yeah I guess that's their main worry. There's no way for oromo to get a coastline without a big push into somali territory. Basically going from one end to the other of Somaliweyn which will probably end up as the bloodiest war in african history. Somalis would genocide tf out of Oromo if they made a push like that which is why oromo have been trying to slowly assimilate somalis bit by bit until they reach the northern coast.
