It just goes to show the credibility of this administration that Russia and America are bringing back relations with Somalia. We should obviously work more closely with the Americans since they've invested a lot more thus far, but we can also gain from other partners. The Russia of today lead by Vladamir Putin is different than the old soviet days. Restarting relations with them based on security/training and other areas we can gain some things. Also hearing that the Russian president fully believes in the the sovereignty and unity of Somalia we welcome them in joining the resurgence of Somalia.

U can't build a nation from the outside and thru foreign affairs. Most of a state productivity is measured in the inside of their nation where you ACTUALLY HAVE CONTROL, a leader worth is measured how he manages the inside dynamics of his country not how he manages the outside foreign world who are not your citizens. You don't have control over foreign matters that's diplomacy and hence you can't create a nation based on overseas dynamics. I find lots of Somalis feel they are state because they have foreign relations, that doesn't make you a state.
Working to lift your people up inside is what makes a state u know delivering basic services like water, electricity, roads, hospitals, schools. This is mandatory services just for ESSENTIAL LIFE. The other services are then creating WEALTH. It's not much more to it then that really.
One thing you as a marehan fail to answer me on and all marehans do this like @nine @Creed @Shaolin23 you always dodge this point all PL people raise about you. If you can't even fix your own clan, why do you come running to solve Somalia? your clan territories are mess politically, there is no unity whatsoever among marehan as they split three ways between shabab/jl/sfg. They are not progressing as a region and remain at best 'negative' growth rates. This is the first government since the collapse of our central government that has shown political and diplomatic maturity. Our sovereignty is slowly being built back up with the plan of consolidating the states under a singular agenda that is overseen by the FGS. The states are able to do what's necessary for their constituents within their borders, however things like foreign affairs, military, and national trade agreements are under the FGS. By connecting the different maamul gobaleeds via loyal governors to the President you'll be able to make the changes that matter quickly and efficiently. You see the steps taken so far to modernize the military such as setting up biometrics for each soldiers and having a payment system in which all registered soldiers will get their pay without a middleman. The increases in annual revenues, the strengthening of partnerships. All while having to deal with hostile maamul gobaleed leaders is an accomplishment in itself in only 2 years. Personally I believe N&N will be reelected to a second term and after that we can discuss their impact on the resurgence of the Somali state.

Wagardhac are pretty reasonable and see benefits to join PL. PL excels in some places like they are awesome in delivering water and ensuring connection pipes are laid down, setting up roads, setting basic hospitals(MCH and General doctor services), and primary and secondary schools which then get injected our superior primary/high school curriculum to ensure the same level of quality of education is happening across the region and no region lags behind in low quality education.
The place we collapse though @Reiko is advancing our university sector which is so pathetic our locals flee to sudan, ethiopia, malaysia, and india to study at university. They even go to AWDAL. We also need to improve on our hospital services to expand beyond MCH and General doctor services and begin specialization clinics which Hargeisa is FAMOUS FOR. Most of our people usually are sent to Hargeisa when our health services reaches it 'peak' knowledge level.
We got places to improve but we are also great in some places. A good reasonable nation acknowledges their strong and weak points. Hospitals and Universities are definitely a 'work in progress' for us and we need to improve DRASTICALLY. Plus economically we are richer, other people from rahanwayn, isaaq, gadabursi, hawiye all come to Puntland to work. So economically speaking our market place is the best in the nation. It's up there competing with Mogadishu. Our essential services sector is of good standards especially around MCH, Immunisation of children, setting up primary/secondary schools in districts, and our school curriculum is unified and applied to all schools so there is no disadvantage in quality learning. We do the basic services very well REIKO, I haven't seen anyone come CLOSE TO PL in delivering essential services.
As for the Marehan evil women u fear. Don't worry I am not taking u to the RAW marehan like @Dues Ex Machete @Creed @nine these guys on the ground are split three ways. Some are SFG supporters and centralism, some are federalists like JL marehan, and some are terrorist supporters like marehan who are in shabab. Trust me I won't take u there, it's a blood bath inside their clan already as their not united and heading towards one direction, you will get bloodied up sitting in between the raw marehan lol

It was our incompetent leadership that was running around like headless chicken after they met their first real opponent.
They withdrew our heavy weapons and assumed the war was lost before it even started.
They just had to withdraw and regroup but we left our guys to act as cannon fodder to distract the Soviet coalition while the top leaders made a run for it to protect their interests in Somalia.
It's these guns that they left behind that bit them us in the ass in the 90s.
Moscow made it pretty obvious that they'll intervene if we fucked with their interests in Ethiopia and we just had to poke at the bear.
This is what happens when your top military advisors and leadership got their positions through nepotism and corruption.

Today Somalia and somalis knows about who with us and who against us. To me I want to build our nation without help. From inside build military industry and ammo. Open military camps across the country. We should be ready for anything as Our Military reach the same level where we used to be or better. Build nuclear weapons to defend our nation.
They literally told Siad Barre not to continue with his plans or else they will side with Ethiopia.
Have you heard about the arms embargo? We cannot produce or buy weaponry, because of the civil war. If you are smart make powerful allies whom can train your army with their weaponry. They can put pressure on the un to lift the arms embargo. In the meantime create a stable rising economy and when the embargo is lifted buy weaponry. This is the smart way but we all know who is in power. One can only dream about a powerful motherland at the moment
