Wanted to share our families ydna results. It has been quite the journey to say the least far from over but scientifically we have come close.

Our families settled in the Ethiopian Bale area for generations but are originally from Northern Somalia. Not sure what took them there but from talks most assume wars spreading religion etc.

Out of the four men tested, two carry
E-M35 and E-BY202497 /E-Y163928

P.S. No one is 100% any clan. Somalis mainly have similar roots although some assimilation did occur.

So far we met an arab salax, warsingili outside of us with J. I think I read on here that a dhulbhante-baharsame had a J too. Would love to connect with him I think his name was @landheer or something not too sure.

Yes it isn't. Could be directly from the migration of early South Semitic speaker into the Horn of Africa few thousand years ago, or the same but mediated through Highland Ethiopian groups into somalis more recently.
