Djibouti is against Somalia mainly due to its monopoly on ports. Somaliland is already taking over their monopoly with Berbera so the fat f*ck will have to be okay with being poor.

Djibouti opposes Somaliland recognition as Somaliland is it's biggest competitor.Remember that DP-World was kicked out of Djibouti, yet it runs a port in direct competition with Djibouti.
Somaliland also has a larger population and a large border between Ethiopia which means more potential highways to deliver goods. The biggest problem for Hargeisa is that it is extremely poor and thus can't even fund large highways to speed up exports.
