Basically proves N&N is a propaganda movement - people on the ground are unhappy with governance.

Its time for Somalia to balkanise

Where's that themadmullah imbecile?
I thought central government of Somalia was perfect. I'm glad Puntland moved ahead in 1998 instead of waiting for Xamar.

What has puntland achieved other then paving two airports :chrisfreshhah:
Peace, stability, peaceful transfer of power for more than 20 years, maintaining its own security forces instead of relying on Amisom and other foreign mercenaries. And it has done this by being stuck with a failed state of south Somalia. Puntland is not perfect, but thank God it has good intelligent people.

This is facts right here.

The thing is majority of people in puntland want a stable Xamar with a clear mandate that can push the country forward. Sometimes I feel bad for Xamar man, the people there are in a dire situation with a president that does nothing for them. I remember seeing a video where a Amisom General was in front of MPs and said something along the lines of, “pls stop this and take care of your people”. SMH

it is unrealistic expectations, the governments national budget for 2020 is just under $500 million. when it took office in 2017 the budget was $160 million

so the government is heading in the right direction, however to expect a government with such low resources to build up the infrastructure of Mogadishu is madness, you would need billions to build the infrastructure of Mogadishu.

even if the government spent 99 percent of the budget on roads alone it would not be enough. So people need to be realistic, the roads will be build inshallah in every city and towns across Somalia but it will take time for the government to increase its revenue.

heck i live in a mid sized city which has the same yearly budget for the council as the national budget of somalia, and still there are potholes everywhere and this is a city 7 times smaller then mogadishu.

so instead of doing idiotic posts like these why don't you have an objective mind and look at things in a pragmatic way instead of always sensationalizing things and putting your own emotions in the forefront.

True, it will take billions or perhaps trillions to build the city's infrastructure. But at the same time, the government got enough to build small roads like the one these folks are complaining about.

you add all the small roads together and they make billions. ok lets say the government build this road what about the road next to it? and the one next to that?

people will always complain about a broken road, until all the roads are fixed you will always get people complaining and to fix the roads requires funds the government does not have.

its like you complaining to your parents why you don't live in hollywood in a $20 million dollar house.

Don't lie. i have seen the state of roads in puntland and to say it's horrific is putting it mildly.
Horrific or not for almost 1960-1991 there is no road beside what china did. The blame goes to Kacaan. PL since 1998 you can see sign of progress every day, from the Dessert roads that we inherit from Kacaan to new roads in highway and inside the cities in all PL cities iyo Villages. Yes still not like normal roads but at least People wants to improve their lives to better one.
