Oromo, Afars, Habesha, Isaaq all these foreigners are our enemies as Somali.
What's with all the trolls online? In real life, people get along really well. Somalis and Oromos are slowly merging into a single ethnicity. In fact, most Somalis who became friends with Oromos or who learned Afan Oromo do not want to associate with Somalis

Oromos are honestly way to concerned with what is going on in Oromia to bother “invading” your land. The truth and difference between Oromos and Somalis, we genuinely believe Somalis to be our closest relatives on this earth and see escaping to your land as safety, nothing more.
If you want these people out of your land, and they’re there illegally, you have every right to deport them. I agree there should be a stronger border patrol system implemented but until then, people will unfortunately find a way in.
Your coast and land belongs to your people, we are not in need of it and do not desire it. Heck the only people in Ethiopia looking for a coast are Amharas who claim parts of Eritrea.
Conflicts between our people are very political or tribal if we’re looking at the specific clans in conflict. E.g. the Gerri Koombe conflict was them and Jaarso. A clan some claim Dir while we claim Oromo. Amongst them, some are really Somali like the Bal’ad subclan and others are Oromo. They’re competing clans who for a long time lived hand in hand and some tension erupted causing the case of 2018.
Other conflicts are extremely political with the 2018 displacements and killings on both sides. I am not going to sit and blame Somalis or Oromo side was innocent, both had a lot of blood on their hands due to the then ruling EPRDF/TPLF. They used their pawns Oromia region Liyu and OPDO dogs and also Abdi Illey and their Liyu. Because of that conflict Innocent people were effected.
Ethiopian politics is insane and there is always a ton of orchestrated conflicts by the gov blaming others.
The people who attacked Somalis are pet of the OPDO who are not loved amongst Oromos. Your average joe was not attacking innocent people.
Until oromo stop being the foot soldiers of the habesha you can’t be trusted. Your cities are so cosmopolitan to the point the amhara outshine the Oromo in their own cities. You guys are so inter mingled with the habesha that they hijacked your protest and installed a Christian amhara at heart abiy Ahmed. Harar is gone dire dawa is almost completely gone. Thee cities are becoming like adis ababa where oromo are majority but powerless. The good size amhara are taking over as soon as oromo dominates the population.
Again these “foot soldiers” do not represent the majority. Why do you think they’re digging OLF soldiers in western Oromia. They’re not the popular vote amongst Oromos as much as you’d like to make it seem that way.
This is also why OLF is in place in full control of a lot of the western front. We want to rule our land our own way without anyone else putting their finger into the jar. Amharas will be dealt with. It’s a matter of getting rid of the current corrupt government. The PP party is the same party with a new name and different face but same agenda of the previous EPRDF.

olf is a farce. christian oromos are bonafide habesha because they follow ethiopian orthodox. they will always be closer to habesha. muslim oromos sho sing kumbaya have wool over their eyes. ethiopia is the 2nd old christian state.
How is it possible when the Oromo are the same vehicle the habesha use to control the rest of the subjugated people in Ethiopia? Most important thing for you guys is getting rid of habesha in your cities they have moved in big numbers run the government offices and businesses. Y’all need to starve them out economically instead of running to new somali lands just for them to take over again.

It began in Hararge by Muslim Oromos. Am I fully in support of the organization, no. But regardless, I am still favouring them over the ruling party.
There is no support for us in either organization, most who were members are long past politics and just focus on their own lives.

You think we want them in our land? They came way back with menilik and stuck like a rare fungus that never wants to leave. Amharas only have power in FinFinne. Other cities are changing with Oromos shifting from farming. There will be a chnage for sure.
The part about oromo living in Somalia is over exaggerated. The oromo absorbed a lot of the old cushitic tribes. We can see today in moyale and even in oromo where certain cushitic tribes who completely became part of the oromo awhile ago now have their own identity but speak afan oromo. I have met with Christian oromos before there’s a re awakining for sure but its gonna take long time for them too. Most of them even acknowledge their fore fathers were Muslims who were converted forcefully. There’s this big problem with oromos from Kenya converting to chritisinity through funds from American missionaries. While families are turning away from Islam. Oromos break down easily I don’t know why the ones from jima haragge are hardcore though.
There is no denying we’ve absorbed people, it may still be practiced but no on the scale of the past. Now it’s mainly individuals if anything, very rare.
The Gada system is no longer amongst us, only borans and some sub clans. And speaking on clans, we don’t really focus on it anymore. We know our clans but it’s not to the extent of Somalis or Arabs.
Christian Oromos are getting a lot better. In regards to people loosing faith, that minimal and mainly seen only in the Arsi region. You have families that as spilt Muslim and Christian.
These people took Islam in the past to avoid converting to Christianity during Meniliks time. Some of them were Muslim for name and practiced old Oromo practices usually found amongst the waaqeffata community.
Islam has been strong amongst Hararge, Bale, Jimma and Wallo as it came to us earlier on. And some of the communities from these places may have been assimilated from previous Muslim communities.
A day will come eventually when somali will easily become the minority and they will yearn for what they had in the past. When you have everyone and their mother wanting their own lands that they can govern, that will give precedent to foreigners wanting self-governance, since it's the norm. Migration is a form of weaponized war where an influx of people creates a security risk and places a fiscal strain on the economy. A country like Ethiopia can in the future leverage those citizen to gain an influx just like the kremlin do to their neighbor countries.

While i disagree with you in some points, i'd say your overall approche and views are reasonable. We need more exemplary and honest oromos such as yourself to start such conversation.

Please ignore these diaspora babies, most of them aren't even born in Somalia. My family in Somaliland have no problem with oromos and often view them as our closest brothers and sisters. Although the government deports some illegal immigrants, the legal ones are welcomed by the locals.
