Walahi if I had the power to distribute this money, id split it 50/50 between hirshabelle and SW, btw the guy who signed the deal never said it'll only go to Mogadishu, he said it'll be spent thru out the entire country

Why do somalis treat 1million like it’s 2 Trillion?

200$ Million is nothing in Somalia.

If these donars cared they would help build power plants that can distribute power throughout the country and earn a return on thier investment for 20-30years for helping us out.

The Arabs are more happy exporting diesel to us then they are with helping us get power.

200million is nothing in todays world, there's a clear urgent need in HS and SW, I would like to see that money go to Galmudug too but I think they're doing better than both HS, and SW. PL and JL already get crazy aid money.

Not gonna lie fellow darood you sound like a hater here.

Listen now the UAE siding Gobals need to pressure UAE. Either put up or shut up for siding with them and causing so much headaches.

I'll never hate on a hustle. That's why I don't have any illnesses like Majeerteentitis, Sadetism, Hawiyepause or Isaaqnoea.

Fantastic news, the news we were awaiting.

This will put the aid and international donar agencies to shame.

The Turks have a great model they have done more with little money than what the whole of the international community has done in decades.

Theirs is visible and you can feel the improvements immediately!

$200 million isn't really much in the grand scheme of things.

This money should be spread out for the rest of the country. Infrastructure projects and the economy as well as education and energy production should be top of the list in terms of how this money should be spent, not on administrative costs.

We need productivity and self sufficiency.

We should reject this out of hand even though we're in no position to reject things. The people that bankroll Al Shabaab dont mean well and we must ask ourselves: what do they gain by doing this?

Signed in Mogadishu and not Doha. Qatar respects Somalia as it proved to be a country with free will and chose thanks to President Farmaajo to be neutral in the Gulf crisis which earned them respect.

Somalia has is one of the most expensive road per/km road costs in the world.

All the money can go to Xamaar and it still won’t change anything as the states gain autonomy in the confederation.

People aren’t rich from economic productivity, they are getting rich from Capitalist Anarchy.

Outside of telecoms, the only money people are making is from looting the unaudited donar funds and miss management of public funds.

-Our Agro sucks.
-We still spend 35% of our GDP buying diesel to fuel power homes and businesses.
-We have limited manufacturing capabilities
-Zero raw materials are manufactured or exported
-Human Capital is in the sewers
-There’s about 2km total of underground sewage pipelines
-waste management and asset management is alien

The only industries keeping Somalia afloat and directly helping the people are the unregulated banks, Telcos and Ports.

Millionaire warlords don’t belong in the stable Somalia Everyone dreams of. You can’t have economic productivity by shooting or killing your competition.
From an economic perspective , I think it is vital the muqdisho streets are eating good cambuulo. Likewise , with their port deals, the punties are eating good fish . It is a shame my clan is eating dry rice and yoghurt . You need to appreciate what you have .

Wow this is great news, I'm so happy that Somalia is getting some much needed help. Mugadisho is the head of the country, once it fully recovers, the body naturally follows :)
