@Neero Australia exports iron-ore in it's natural state to china and china converts it into steel. Notice they are trying to keep the supply-chain limited to australia, they are going to process it in australia rather then just ship it to china to process, that means more jobs.

Somalis are terrible at 'processing, refining' any resource, so they remain at the bottom of the supply chain loooooooool while others do the processing, refining and creating the final product. This mind-set has to change in Puntland.

We need to stop shipping our livestock live looooool, why not identify how many other products we can create from it? we should have this thinking style applied to everything we do. I've yet to see a puntland president demand all our business people to 'switch' their mind-sets of quick export and cheap rewards.

Lithium can be extracted from brine (salt water), so there is lithium in the Hafun salt flats.

The manufacturing processes of lithium, including the solvent and mining waste, presents significant environmental and health hazards.[135][136][137] Lithium extraction can be fatal to aquatic life due to water pollution.[138] It is known to cause surface water contamination, drinking water contamination, respiratory problems, ecosystem degradation and landscape damage.[135] It also leads to unsustainable water consumption in arid regions (1.9 million liters per ton of lithium).[135] Massive byproduct generation of lithium extraction also presents unsolved problems, such as large amounts of magnesium and lime waste.[139]

Let's not disturb our marine-life, let's follow the australian model and separate lithium from our hard rocks.

By early 2021, much of the lithium mined globally comes from either "spodumene, the mineral contained in hard rocks found in places such as Australia

Please remember what I told you, any natural resource study will always study the negative side effects to agriculture or marine life. In this case, marine life being endangered is not worth the lithium trade. That's why I told u, it pays off to have a 'desert' rather then 'farms' becuz your desert will be more suitable for natural resource, it won't damage the eco-system in farm lands.

So natural resources isn't goin to happen for the 'south', they are simply have no dog in this race.

@Neero I want the best for puntland. I would disagree with cade muse short-term vision of selling our gold in raw form to arabs. I think if we stored our gold in reserves, we could bring billionaires to store their money here becuz we can secure their wealth with our gold. There is more benefit to store gold then to sell it. And if your going to sell it, it's best govt holds it and sells it when the prices are highest due to supply shortage.

Wallahi it reminds me of how we exploited our 'trees' for short term gain and now we have desert. Waxani dhan dalka joggo waa aragti gaaban yihin, they don't know the long term effect of their short term gain.

That $120 million in gold from makhir if we expanded it and dug out 20 billion in gold and storee it puntland bank reserves, wallahi we cud pitch to millionaires around the world to come and invest in puntland and create jobs and we guaarantee them that our 'gold reserve' will secure their investment.

We will never lose as a state, yes we put up 20 billion in gold reserves and intice investors that we can insure them in the event they need bail out, but we will tell them what industry to build. Long life products like furnitures, steel, cement, doors, windows, asphalt'. In the event they go bankrupt, we can on-sell the equipments n products and get good local or global prices for any excess goods becuz it's long life and then we refund them their 'loss in gold or loan' to re-start in another industry.

This is the the first roadblock road from Bosaso to Qandala, that's the reason there needs to be a tunnel.
