Mashallah, this is wonderful news for not only reer Qandala, but reer Puntland as a whole. Also i am from Qandala, my whole lineage stems from this ancient port city inshallah we utilize our gold reserves carefully without villa Somalia ripping it in half ‍

That Samaroon loser that somalispot reported on about gold on his property, he sold it to chinese to mine looooooool, these useless somalis in the north are not even apart of the supply chain, at least he learned from PL, to do it himself. But then again I am against selling gold, i prefer we store it and secure investments into puntland with guaranteee gold reserves to bail them out if it's unsuccessful.

gold, unlike oil, doesn’t deteriorate in value at least not at the rate oil is, the world slowly is transitioning to be oil To electric based, that’s why I think Puntland should exploit our oil before there’s nothing to exploit, and store our gold strategically.

Puntland Mountains must be protected, especially calmadow, we don't want to endanger the forest eco-system, if any mountain is going to be mined let it be the dry mountains which is on puntland side.

Puntland has an edge again on Somaliland daalo, they will need to destroy the eco-system for gold looooooool. So I guess it does pay off to be 'dry land'

Somalis love 'green land' but Dr Osman is not a 'fan' of it becuz it can only be used for one purpose, farming, no-one will dig oil, lithium, gold in those type of land, it disturbs the farming activity and endangers food security for a nation.

I accept Puntland needs to meet it's own food security locally, but we shouldn't make it a backbone industry and leave it at that. Let the south focus on farming, it's not even a 'big gdp earner' veggies/fruits are 'cheap' commodities globally becuz the global market is designed to ensure an 'over-supply' of vegetables/fruits to keep prices low. That's why no bantu economy is successful loooooool, why would puntland follow that model?

Deserts or oceans are where all minerals, oil, and every natural resource is extracted from becuz it won't damage the eco-system since it's barren land. Puntland desert is where the 'natural resources' of Somalia will be located.

Puntland must invite China to dig cheap natural resources except 'gold', let the gold be stored in reserves to back up our economy and provide investor confidence. China is shifting from western natural resosurce reliance, they have differing geopolitical interests(taiwan, hong kong, chinese communism) which the west want to change which is why china is shifting to africa. China is at war with Australia diplomatically, it will welcome puntland natural resource suppliers for it's economy.

I personally would 'identify' the land acreage needed to provide Puntland with enough fruits and vegetable production, i would call this our 'agricultural valley'' and use that land for farming only purposes and ensure all our farmers buy land there, we can't keep spreading farming all over the state, it will disturb our desert which will mean our natural resources industrial potential will be limited and we will eventually need to decide between our food security vs natural resource potential which is what I don't want to happen.

I want us to have the largest untapped deserts in Somalia, this will raise up the eyebrows when doing 'feasability' studies as they will know their will be no damage to our eco-system since it's barren already nor will it disturb farming since we allocated our 'farming' zone somewhere else. This put's puntland right at the top of natural resource company 'hot spots' for mineral production potential.

The south is screwed, anything they do with natural resource will have to be balanced against the 'farming' industry loooooool, it will be taken down the list as not 'suitable' for natural resosurces due to impacts on food production.

Right now our large desert is great potential for natural resources where we are not disturbing the eco-system or having to choose between money or food.
