Goobtan waxa ku taala warshad weyn oo kala saarta dhagaxa, ciidda iyo dahabka, waa degaan haddii uu helo maalgellin weyn wax weyn ka tari lahaa dhaqaalaha dalka iyo dadka.

Please let's pay our respect to who came up with Gold mining. It was his excellency cade muse back in 2005, who attempted to do this in majiyahan. As a result all Puntland is in gold rush right now.

@Neero if u watch the 1:47 mark in the qandala mines, u will see the gold shining, they didn't even dig that deep. If it's showing at such low level depth, the deeper u go, the more gold.

@Neero we shouldn't sell it in 'raw form' to emiratis, the middle man will value-add and turn into bullion gold, watches, rings, etc. We need to value-add in Puntland not sell it 'raw'. Let puntites dominate the supply chain. Let us convert it into bullion, necklaces, watches, and other gold items so we at least can secure full value chain.

I personally think it's better to 'store' this gold in puntland 'reserve' bank and pull it out when the market is 'empty' of suppliers so we can get maximum value for it.

@Neero anaga xoolo nahay, our ppl see small profits and they will exploit it till it's empty, while white man storees his gold and only sells it when their gold supply shortage so he can secure maximum value, while we sold our gold for pennies.

@Neero I want the best for puntland. I would disagree with cade muse short-term vision of selling our gold in raw form to arabs. I think if we stored our gold in reserves, we could bring billionaires to store their money here becuz we can secure their wealth with our gold. There is more benefit to store gold then to sell it. And if your going to sell it, it's best govt holds it and sells it when the prices are highest due to supply shortage.

Wallahi it reminds me of how we exploited our 'trees' for short term gain and now we have desert. Waxani dhan dalka joggo waa aragti gaaban yihin, they don't know the long term effect of their short term gain.

That $120 million in gold from makhir if we expanded it and dug out 20 billion in gold and storee it puntland bank reserves, wallahi we cud pitch to millionaires around the world to come and invest in puntland and create jobs and we guaarantee them that our 'gold reserve' will secure their investment.

That Samaroon loser that somalispot reported on about gold on his property, he sold it to chinese to mine looooooool, these useless somalis in the north are not even apart of the supply chain, at least he learned from PL, to do it himself. But then again I am against selling gold, i prefer we store it and secure investments into puntland with guaranteee gold reserves to bail them out if it's unsuccessful.

I prefer the 'carrot n stick approach' to investors. The carrot is our 'gold reserves' stored in puntland bank and the 'stick' is their investment into puntland as a safe market where their risk is minimized becuz the govt they can bail them out if their investment goes wrong.

This way we get more 'wealth' stored in our land and jobs and industries, that's what the west did when u study their history, they had gold rush in the 1800s in australia, america, and then they 'stored' it and brought 'rich white men' to create industries with guarantees if they are unsuccessful, the govt will bail them out with their gold reserves. Now their industries are so large, it has 'exceeded' the small 'gold reserve' they started with.

Rich people want guarantees their 'money' can be returned to them if unsuccessful in the market and the only way is thru 'govt controlling gold reserve' to say 'here we will cut u a slice' from our gold if you need to be bailed out. This will mean thousands of rich ppl will see puntland as win win market for their investment and puntland then benefits becuz we will have so many industries and employment.

Puntland is a sand (element: silica) oasis, the state needs to seriously consider looking into silicon production and processing.

Silicon is one of the most useful elements on the planet. Silicon is used to make dynamo/transformer plates, engine blocks, cylinder heads, machine tools and to deoxidise steel. Its also used to make solar panels/cells, transistors, computer chips, ceramics, etc.

Qandala has the potential to become a resort town, it's surrounded by mountains that probably have a cool breeze. I believe the Qandala road is one of the most important projects not fulfilled because it's about integration with coastal Puntland to the large inland towns.

They don't need to put it in Puntland bank, they can create their own cooperative bank where each miner owns a share and become lender, get administrative fees and re-invest it.
