Excellent move, thank you for leading by example Mr Farmaajo. This was a giant move that will have a positive effect in Somalia :)

2020 campaign stunt, this is all for show. The CIA installed puppet will be setting up shop overseas after his tenure is over.

Renouncing US citizenship is common for American millionaires to avoid paying taxes on assets outside the country, the US the only OECD country that taxes its citizens/nationals regardless of where they live in the world. He will be taking his new found wealth elsewhere, Qatar or Turkey awaits.

When getting U.S citizenship, you are legally required to relinquish allegiance to any foreign country including your birth country.

Naturalization Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America

Oath

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God."

Why was it necessary to enforce the rule on Farmaajo now when other Naturalised Americans served both America and their country of birth in a leadership capacity and they never renounced their U.S citizenship and nor was this rule enforced on them? What were the policy disagreements between the U.S administration and Farmaajo?

"It is reported that legal experts, nationalities and citizenship authorities from Somalia and US were involved in the process."

Why are you assuming it was forced when all that is clear is he chose to? The US and the current admin actually have a very good working relationship rn.

No Somali politician from western country returned back to that western country after their political adventure. Farmaajo would never return to the US. It's a sacrificial lamb.

No former Somali president will permanently live in Somalia, even Sheikh Sharif sought an American green-card. They all have foreign citizenships and flee when the going gets tough. The U.S will always have a cordial relationship with Somalia, but it is quiet evident that Farmaajo pissed off the Americans. We will know. Following your logic, Farmaajo being a "great patriot", he would have asked his family to surrender their citizenships too because they are from a family of "Somali patriots". He knows very well not to annoy them further because of his family in America.

Can US authorities strip Farmaajos children of their citizenship? Wtf are you talking about here my dude do you think America is a barbaric country like Australia John Walker Lind was a Taliban terrorist and he's out jail now the laws are different for born American citizens why would Farmaajo worry about his family

@Shaolin23

Great question. When you think of Gaas who is an American citizen, he was never forced to relinquish his U.S citizen and similarly when Farmaajo was prime minister of Somalia. That is why I think this is related to Qatar.

@Shaolin23

No, they can give them a hard time via scrupulous investigations and something might fall out of the genie like a simple error the wife made on her refugee application or a foreign bank account on her name or on the names of the children. You don't want the FBI and Homeland Security descending on your family like a ton of bricks.

Do you remember that Somali sheikh who was stripped of his U.S citizenship?

?? Why would he make his family? He is the president not his family and relatives and it’s his personal decision for him to make. What bizarre reasoning.

Just a bunch of silly baseless accusations. “No president has ever stayed” none have ever relinquished their dual citizenship either but he has. Also the US and the current govt in particular* have very good working relations.

The cuqdad in some folks is sweet like honey

2017 - Why is Farmaajo not renouncing his US citizenship

2019 - After Farmaajo renounces "It was forced upon him"

Now they calacalin why haven't his wife and kids renounced their US citizenship :mjlol:

This new Aljazeera (Qatari) documentary was the last straw for the Saudis and UAE and their man in Washington is Jarred Kushner and he was asked the U.S to put pressure on Farmaajo and he (like he sided with Qatar who were accused to be behind of Bosaaso bombings) refused. That is my take of this new weird development.

Bahrain: Playing With Fire.

Did the Bahraini government collude with al-Qaeda members to target Shia opposition figures during the 2011 unrest?

You guys should take off the qabiil lenses and see Farmaajo as president to all Somalis and a fair game this issue to be discussed from all angles.

Why are negroes bashing each other on formajoo's citizenship's. Look up US law if the US is ok with one of it's citizens becoming a foreign president. You will find your answer there.

Secondly AUN to the mayor of xamar.

Thirdly why even support a kenyan backed regional president? We are in a diplomatic war with the kenyans. Subhanallah some people care more about who controls the region instead of caring that Somalia sovereignty stays in tact.

Fourthly we are doomed with idiots running around claiming sovereignty ya allah give the competent somalis the power to eliminate these idiotic backwards uncivilized people and send them back to you allah where they belong amiin.
