If the capital gets moved to garowe or baidoa I doubt gedo or cabudwaak would become dubai overnight,
The capital being moved would mean xamar will not be the only region that pays taxes to FGS , will the gedoins & cabudwaakians be ready to contribute their share ?
They actually think Muqdishu is prospering because its the capital. Muqdisho has been the most populous and prosperous city on the Somali peninsula for the past two millenia. Long before Somalia was a think or sole of these folks clans even saw an ocean shore

Mogadishu was chosen by the Italian colonials simply because it was the most strategic city In all of Somalia region at that time ,
The agricultural output from jowhar ,balcad, afgooye and the well established trade made it ideal for italy to make it the capital .
Using a random omani that declared himself the governor of Mogadishu is not the reason why italy choose it to be the capital . Mogadishu was established city befor Italy came and befor the random afro arab omani declared himself the "governor" in 1872 .

Your post doesnt explain why they choose Mogadishu and not other coastal cities or regions in Somalia to be its capital.
