Yes I practice mindfulness daily.

It is hard to start, but once you get going, you will get to a state where you can basically control everything you are thinking at a given moment, or even make your mind completely blank. It takes a certain level of meditation and spiritual awareness.

But western society is very spiritually dead, and it has had profound consequences for the planet. It is only recently in the past 50 to 60 years that they have started to bring in spirituality into mainstream western culture. But even then, it is very shallow in its level.
