Actually it sounds the same as other south semitic languages in Yemen and soqtra for instance Mehri language sounds like tigrinya

True although Tigrinya is more close to Arabic. My ex is Tigray American but spoke tigrinya and it sounds hella semitic and it ain't nothing like this.

Another common word we have with Standardised Tamazight is the word for Dog. In Tamazight it is "Aydi" and we say Eey.
