Man my barber was Moroccan and there was always bunch of his friends and I they were speaking a whole different language. I asked what it's and they were like عربي عربي مغربي I speak Egyptian but I couldn't fathom the possibility of that being anything close to Arabic

Honestly, Darija is a language in it's own right. It's far too similar to Berber/Tamazight when you hear it, due to the Berber/North African speech patterns/pronunciation and large Berber lexicon in Darija.

Another common word we have with Standardised Tamazight is the word for Dog. In Tamazight it is "Aydi" and we say Eey.
