Somalia has seen a spike in tourism in the last couple of years & this got me thinking the benefits accrue this opportunity for the country and our most hardworking business people. There is a problem though, after doing some research i've noted with concern most people find so much negative news/ myth of why they should not visit Somalia. I mean i understand that safety and security is a concern for most foreigners but what breaks my heart is the amount of misinformation about Somalia all written by people who barely know anything about us nor our country.
I thought about an idea to change this narrative and that change should be done by Somalis to and it time we take charge.
If u research about other countries usually they have lots info unfortunately Somalia even entry requirement details is hard to find. My idea with ur help is to crowdsource information, create a wordpress & post them. I know even some diaspora Somalis will benefit fron this especially those who don't know anyone in Somalia perhaps have no relatives.
