I checked the samples available for these Parsis people in India and Pakistan, they have retained around 73% or more Iranian genetics. For them to have only a few thousand left means that, under normal circumstances, their true genetic size should be in the millions (of course, utterly watered out once they mix out, as their identity is terminated). They have a system where you're not part of the ethno-religion if you're maternally mixed. Basically, these people reduced themselves in size through time to maintain genetic purity. Had they behaved like a normal ethnic group, their true ethnic size would be in the millions, albeit their genetics would be predominantly South Asian with an Iranian sub-component.
You can't maintain a demographic of around 60,000 and be descendants of people that settled 1000 years ago and retain that much genetics unless they historically were sizable but shaved off the parts that mixed out.
Also, these people became hyper-wealthy elitists because they were favored by the British colonialists. Before that, they were just another backwater group in India.
Today, these people are in trouble because of a high median age, low birth rates, and the rejection of mixing with others (you can mix but your status within that ethnic group is terminated, especially if you're a woman). It's the best example of how affluent people in today's ideological Western world have fewer children because of hedonistic pursuits and viewing child-rearing as an investment not worth pursuing. Wealthy people with a Western mindset cannot propagate in a healthy way.
