Watched a few of episodes a couple years ago, thought it was a joke.
I remember when the male protagonist was shot and when he fell out of the hospital window
and they all had to kill each other to survive this weird "game"

Depends on the Anime tbh. Some anime like naruto and dbz I cannot watch with subs while others like gintama or one piece I cannot watch with dubs. I usually keep an open mind and try both out first.
