i was talking about dishes like hawlo or sanbuus.:yousmart:

Gotchu. However we still should've added some changes to those imported dishes so that we could call them our own.

The Italians are so rich in the culinary arts because they were the centre of world trade and everything passed through them including foreign foods.

However no one claims that they appropriated those dishes.

Let's at least by renaming our foods with something that isn't close to the original names.

Halwa >Halva... Let's not bait ourselves...

A lot of they imported. Like spaghetti which they got from noodles.

Who says they didn't steal pasta as well.

I'm sure the Napatoleon pizza came from North African origins or at least Greek.

Back to topic...

Anyone has a good idea for an original geeljire dish?

We don't have much time before the rest of the world clocks on that we're lacking in this department ...

Our camels will go extinct if we leave you in charge of our dishes creation.

Not sure about that cakes but khat energy drink could work. Comes with an additional amphetamine boost.

Just because Ethiopians consume it, doesn't mean we imported it. We could have exported it to them.

I think it came from the middle East. Can't remember where I read it but I found something similar.

You can deny reality for as long as you want or you can join us in coming up with new dishes sxb.

Yoo

Eel eh?
Most modern cheap boats and ships are made from fibre glass.

We have all the materials to create it other than plastic/petroleum which we can import for cheap.

It just requires a certain level of skills and industry know-how to get started but we can easily find those in the global marketplace...It's an old tech.

We can also use it to build all sorts of products and components.
This is amazing but the attention to detail really requires experienced professionals meaning for atleast the first 5 years you employ foreigners

Not really. In the past the tech was still new so you needed skilled people witb multiple skills and that could think on their feet.

Today the tech has matured and you could train people up in a month to do a simple task in an assembly line process. Break it up into little tasks and have people just trained for that.

The hardest part is the initial design process where the materials are picked during a CAD design.

You can outsource that for cheap and have machines do the delicate stuff like preparing the fibre glass.

How much would you assume that all costs?

Less than a 100k for the equipment, tooling and machinery (including small workshop to maintain tooling).

100k for local staff ($300/m trainees, 500-800/m qualified staff).

50k to commission marine engineer to design ship ($500 p/h * 100 hours work).

200k for an industrial plant architect ($1,000 p/h * 200 hours of work).

1 million for bribes and protection money so you can setup in Somalia. Probably more once they see you ship finished products.

50k to rent a warehouse to act as the factory or build one for 150k near the ports for extra security.

Not sure about raw materials and other variable cost since it's Somalia but it won't be more than 10-50k initially.

All in all half a million to get setup and that doesn't include bribes, import tactics, protection money etc.... This is what kills any chance of enterprise in Somalia.

AS are the easiest to handle. You'll need to appease the biggest gang there.

Unless you know someone at the top there you'll be constantly harrassed by countless of middle ranking officials looking for a payout or jobs for their family.
