One of Nasser’s greatest achievements if I’m being honest. Because of him and his successors, Egypt (with the exception of the Sinai) has been the only really big Arab country to not have a issue with Kharijites.

Tbh that was on the Arab Spring. They used to be gunned down on sight and herded into prisons before the revolution let them go, as they were the only real organization post-revolution they won elections and got one of their own (Honsi Mubarak) into power. This trend sharply reversed after a second revolution sent Ikhwan back into the prisons and shadows.

The lid has been opened so time will tell if they can regroup and try to rule the country again.
