What about a 70 year old oday married to a 18 year old? Even if the law is enforced, they will simply wait for these young girls to turn 18.

The issue is with forced marriages regardless of age and often, the root cause is poverty. You don’t see the well off in Somalia marrying off their young girls to old men against their will. They send their daughters to school/university and are happy for them to marry in their 20s to their age mates. The government needs to act against forced marriages and improve the living standards of the poor instead of NGO lead token gestures that won’t be enforced.
