The Siyaad barre hate is crazy when he did more than your so called beloved president Sharmarke and even Aden cadde did combined lol. Blaming Siyaad for the civil war when the reason why we don’t have government is because the millitas turned on each other is this mans fault kkk that’s a good joke. He kept this country together and the worst year under Siyaad is better than every year after and before him.
Kacaaniid can cry but the night Siyaad left villa somalia was the beginning of the end and to say he didn’t stabilize the country is just flat out emotional lying. I see one certain clan crying in here. With their momma leading them in the chorus. lol

Siyad Barre arrested Aden Adde(Abgaal), Abdirizak Haji Hussien(MJ), and Igal(Isaaq). and they weren't released till 1973. Majority of Somali army where from those clans, but the army didn't break up and no civil war happened, but 20 years later the army broke up beyond repair
Army was loyal to their father not politicians.

Today is another historical landmark; Jan 26 1991. The dark day his holiness Siad was ousted from power by Ethiopian backed rebels promising us a brighter future only for them to follow him right out of the country (for my generation) while their descendants born in qaxootinimo calaacal online from London, Toronto, Minneapolis, Stockholm, and other white cities and countries kind enough to take them in.

:mjkkk:

What happened guys?

:mjlol:

Where's the promised land of democracy and rainbows you fought so bitterly for?

:mjlaugh:

You like the Ethiopians? The Kenyans? The Ugandans? The suicide bombers? The famines? The secessionists? Magafe and his merry band of human traffickers? The xenophobia? Getting told to go back to your country? The deportations? The misery? The humiliation? The bitter cold of winter?

Every single day that passes vindicates the blessed Zookeeper. In retrospect, it's remarkable to see him hold it all together for two decades. HSM can't even control two city blocks. The one and only mistake he made was losing the civil war. That is unforgivable and unfortunately his legacy.

They are bunch of zoo animals. Being mad at the man who kept them from nakedness for 21 years. Before him they were nothing and after him they are nothing.

33 years later and look at the state of somalia.

You can’t say the quiet part out loud. It’s better for them to blame one man instead to try and make a difference like him. It’s real easy to blame Siyaad for 33 years from the west, you’ve had more than 21 years to reverse the so called disastrous policies of barre and now are reaching 34 mark and yet the man dead for over a decade now is still to blame. Siyaad must’ve done sixir on all the politicians and people alive to keep them in this state.

The Kacaan was necessary, which is why everyone supported it at the time. MSB though, really wasn't.

Could have just created a normal junta like most other African countries at the time, every society from Mauritania to Sudan had their own version of a military junta during the 70s, so it wasn't particularly a novel idea. He chose to rule by himself as a strongman, and the state was completely fucked within 19 years. Crazy how you're spinning it

The civil war is Siyaad’s and rebels fault men died 29 years ago and was overthrown 33 years ago Somalia still hasn’t recovered and is getting Balkanized, every diig yacab to ever grace Somalia will have his reckoning inshallah, people just need to leave the past alone and worry about saving Somalia from further balkanization.

fair enough cousin, but you know my position in regards to Kacaan, and I consider people who make topics about Kacaan as an attempt to do isku dir its polarizing topic.

Also I have no cuqdad towards Leelkase but I don't know about you in regards to MX niyow, by the way I got my DNA results since you are head Nerd for Darood, they turned out to be as expected. :ftw9nwa:
I dont see any new results on yfull what lab did you use and did you match @Garaad Hirabu

The Somali Republic was in a state of decay in those days and corruption and tribalism were rampant. After President Sharmaarke was assassinated, a civil war almost broke out, but the military takeover prevented this.
There was no civil war threat and the society weren't polarized the way we are right now.

Look at the discipline , look at the unity men from different clans ready to die for a nation. Unlike the modern SNA who some cant hold a fire fight for long so they flee as they dont believe in nation to die for but would lay down lives for clan. Though i stil respect them for their efforts.

Weird logic. You can appreciate somethings he did yet criticize his rule. He wasn’t a leader with vision nor political maturity or in touch with our culture, that’s for sure.

Somalis have been a collection of warring clans since time immemorial, murdering, looting, and displacing their fellow Somalis since the beginning of time. In the first two decades of the twentieth century alone, half of the population of Northern Somalia perished in internecine violence and subsequent famine.
You are putting it too harshly. Somalis were no different from any other splintered group like Arabs, Turks, Italians, Japanese ect. Sure we fought each other but we also fought against foreigners as well. As for the 20th century, if you are referring to the Dervish movement then the death toll isn't accurate.
