When you don't respect, love, and value your mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters, the destruction of your people is imminent. That's the problem with Somalis - most of the religious leaders are "Sheikhs" and not Imams.

A sheikh is an Arab chieftain or leader. A non-Muslim Arab who is the leader of a tribe is a Sheikh.

A Muslim religious leader who leads Jummah prayers, heads a masajid, and is the spiritual guide for the community is called an Imam.

Our people are so ignorant of the deen, history, and knowledge in general that our religious leaders don't even know the proper terminology to use to describe themselves, but then again, perhaps it's deliberate - they'd rather imitate the misogyny of their Arab paymasters than follow the deen of Allah

It's ironic that our last major Somali leader with the title Imam was alive in the 16th century. God help us

The Somali sheikh was right. These AAs and Africans are always attacking us but claim racism when we respond. Besides, he responded by attacking Somali women and not the guy. A lot of Somali women were defending him on Twitter so this is a slap in the face for them.
