Ceel lahely is right next to it. I doubt Shabaab are near as Ceel Garas is only 7km from Ceel-Lahely which make them easily in strike range

Not a big deal to be there overnight when Ceel Lahely is much more secure for now. More mine clearing needed next few days, was a mistake for the MPs to go in so early AUN.
