HSM is just seeing if the opposition will do his bidding. He does need support right now but he doesn't look like a guy who is willing to negotiate anything at all with Somalis. I don’t trust him to negotiate either but I can’t wrap my head around that moron ever having any sort of plan. He’s just begging and that might seem like he’s got a plan, but his only real plan is probably to have the last flight out of Xamar solely for himself. FYI it seems like America has its own plans to deal with shabaab.

According to journalist @golfyare, Director of Jowhar News Network, reliable diplomatic sources confirmed that the U.S. and UK ambassadors held a private meeting with President @HassanSMohamud, yesterday. They urged him to open up the political space and establish a unified national agenda focused on fighting terrorism and resolving internal political issues.

The meeting took place yesterday when the President returned from a one-day visit to #Turkey. Discussions also included security and political matters, particularly regarding the need for an inclusive electoral process that reflects the political realities of the country.
