The mother of Federalism deserves it, PL shot themselves in the foot. They chose to legitimize sitting with Paper states like Hirshabelle and Southwest instead of directly negotiating with the FGS. Regardless of PL's failures HSM's unilateral constitutional changes are illegal. The SFG and parliament/courts/agreement or any law they pass has no federal legality since it wasn't ratified by any regional parliament which is the constitutional process for all federal laws. I for one was and still against the Federal system. I preferred a 1 country 2 systems options like Hongkong(PL in this case) and a strong central government for the rest that's why I support HSM's loo joojin maayo movement, It'll end up forcing PL to jump ship.

As for @Itsnotthateasy SL is propped up by the same federal government he's clowning. It was HSM that gave
a north-south confederacy option to SL in Djibouti beginning of 2024 after they lost 80% of their so called army to SSC militia. They refused and proceeded with the abysmal failure that is the MOU. That's why he spends most of times opening threads about Xamar & PL. As far as International community you are still part of the system considering SL had MPs & Ministers in the SFG. The same UN representative that sits with Xasan sits with Muse Bihi as well.

yeah the federal system has utterly failed, the states are way to massive each one needs to be split into 3 units each. Or problems like this will always come up. all out of a lack of a strong central government leader thats competent. But no lets focus on doing 1 man 1 vote for a country as dire as somalia. Somalis have a failed state and want to create another country. Cadaans don’t care about the difference between SL or Somalia, what they see is that Somalis destroyed their country and want to make another one.

The unitary government in that time period was the best we had, the best solution for somalis is a unitary government with a lot of minor states who can rule over their local jurisdicition with central orders taking priority. it can balance out the two forces.
