It's greener than the greenest parts of the south even more greener than neighbouring Kenya and Ethiopia. Heck it's as green as the Amazon and Congo forestsBiggest forests in the entire Somalia are located in Sanaag region. Sheikh and Gacanlibaax are minor forests in comparison.
The Calmadow forests start at west of Ceerigaabo and end in the Bari - Sanaag border.

The dark patches shows the intensity of the greenery across the region from a satellite image. As you can see the gacaanlibaax mountains doesn't compare to cal madow. It might look green on the ground and it obviously does, however this picture gives you a scope to compare it with. Cal madow is more lushIt's greener than the greenest parts of the south even more greener than neighbouring Kenya and Ethiopia. Heck it's as green as the Amazon and Congo forests

A better example would be from Hargeisa to dire dhabe in terms of distance crazily long distance more than 300kmYep. You can see how long the forest is. It is like Aden to Sana'a covered with forest in terms of
distance.

There's potential for farming in this area which could supply the entire northern somalia demand for veg and fruits rather than importing from ethiopiaTrue. I reckon we can even make it more greener by planting trees in its northern and southern frontiers. It receives a annual rainfall of up to 850 mm.
"The dense mountain forest sits at an altitude of between 700–800 m above sea level, and has a mean annual rainfall of 750–850 mm. In addition to rainfall, Cal Madow receives additional precipitation in the form of fog and winter rains, which sustain isolated forests of juniperus, buxus etc. Mist also appears to be important in the distribution of juniperus (dayib), one of the species locals use for timber.
