Muuse Biixi was welcomed by Axmed Shide the Finance Minister of Ethiopia and will meet Abiy Ahmed later.

Ahmed Shide is the highest ranking Somali in Ethiopia and many interpret it as a gesture of solidarity after he failed in his bid to control Somali region and axe Somali region President Musafa Cagjar whose politics is centred around 'Somalinimo' or Somali unity.

Shide took a beating down and many see this as avenging himself by solidarising with his fellow 'Dir'.
