Let me guess you used to watch anime but not anymore. This is not millennial land.
Manhwa = Majority is colored
Manga = Not colored
BL = Almost all comics today are made by Korean Artists and therefore labeled as Manhwa in the general sense. The action genre is dominated by Japanese manga while Romance is dominated by Korean Manhwa. How many BL MANGA series go past 5 chapters? Not that much because they don't get paid much and abandon projects. Most of BL manga is made by fans which is why it's way lower quality than Manhwa. Manhwa BL is structured and made by teams while Manga BL is made by a depressed Japanese woman who is barely making above minimum wage. Why are millennials so out of touch with the world?
Another ignorant millennial that used to watch anime, but is now confused why Manhwa BL is more popular when a certain group internationalized the Korean man fetish. Also, the TikTok Above is talking about BL Manhwa as in the Korean-made Comics and not some Japanese side project. Manhwa BL is very popular in Malaysia which is where the person who made the TikTok is from.

Nigga I am very aware of what’s popular and not among my generation and BL manhwa arent because not only are they badly drawn, the stories are bad and the main characters are ugly af.
