Muslim Twitter going crazy again

The sheikh went viral for speaking the truth. A woman asked him whether a woman can refrain from intimacy and take time to understand, the sheikh replied she’s not permitted to do that if she’s physically able. Atheists, Islamophobes and feminists are dragging him all over Twitter, claiming he “condones marital rape.”

what was the tweet cos its deleted now?

That’s what marriage is for. The spouse can never abandon her huband who she formed a bond with. Adulterous/Fornicating Atheist b*****d filth can get lost

I thought that in Islam a man needs to spend 7 days with a virgin to give her time ect as intimacy is usually painful in the beginning and they're usually shy.

I’ve heard of that before but there’s no sin if he does it straight away as long as it doesn’t cause harm or discomfort.

So why is this sheikh speaking to her like this one the questioner clearly used to the word 'in the beginning'?

He could have easily explained the whole 7 days for a virgin and 3 days for a matrons ect.

He could have (Twitter isn’t the best place to give comprehensive answers) but the very answer itself isn’t wrong. He’s getting attacked for no reason.

Saxib,

The girl asking is clearly someone who has never married and is about to marry. So she is probably worried about intimacy like most women. Yet here he is answering in such a way, when supposedly in Islam couples are allowed to wait, especially if the girl is a virgin.

But nevermind, you guys will scream about feminists anyways.

Have a good day.

You would be right if she hasn't ever married. However, if she has been married for some time, she has no business asking such questions.

She used the word 'beginning'. She's talking about a newly wed couple.
Most newly wed couples, especially the ones who've had an arranged marriage wait a few days as it is daunting.

Bro, it’s not like the person was forcing her husband not to. It’s like asking not to is a sin. If they agree to give eachother time that’s whats up but no need for the “it’s the mans right!!!!”. Like god damn who even mentioned who’s refraining, it’s a general question

He’s speaking the truth but Muslim feminist twitter will eat him alive
You're a hypocrite.

There is no denying that a Muslim man has a right to intimacy from his wife. But a woman's right to provision is just as important. Yet, you deny the latter.

Why is that?

Idk why women seek these sheikhs advice they're all biased fools. If she has any intimacy worries she should have that discussion with her partner.

From my understanding it's sunnah that you wait 7 days not compulsory
The Sheikh has not lied in his advice but it could have been delivered in more detail. Social media is not the best platform to give Dawah, too many folk with an axe to grind.

It is not compulsory but he could have emphasised how it is reasonable to show patience and empathy to a virgin bride. It doesn't take seven days to deflower a virgin but what is the harm in putting a woman's anxiety at ease if she is worried?

They are not biased necessarily if they are quoting scripture or hadith etc. However, some could deliever Cilm with more refinement.
