I’ve heard of that before but there’s no sin if he does it straight away as long as it doesn’t cause harm or discomfort.
From my understanding it's sunnah that you wait 7 days not compulsory
So why is this sheikh speaking to her like this one the questioner clearly used to the word 'in the beginning'?
He could have easily explained the whole 7 days for a virgin and 3 days for a matrons ect.
He could have (Twitter isn’t the best place to give comprehensive answers) but the very answer itself isn’t wrong. He’s getting attacked for no reason.

The girl asking is clearly someone who has never married and is about to marry. So she is probably worried about intimacy like most women. Yet here he is answering in such a way, when supposedly in Islam couples are allowed to wait, especially if the girl is a virgin.

There is no denying that a Muslim man has a right to intimacy from his wife. But a woman's right to provision is just as important. Yet, you deny the latter.
Why is that?
The Sheikh has not lied in his advice but it could have been delivered in more detail. Social media is not the best platform to give Dawah, too many folk with an axe to grind.
It is not compulsory but he could have emphasised how it is reasonable to show patience and empathy to a virgin bride. It doesn't take seven days to deflower a virgin but what is the harm in putting a woman's anxiety at ease if she is worried?
They are not biased necessarily if they are quoting scripture or hadith etc. However, some could deliever Cilm with more refinement.
