I think that is fair. In fact I think all politicians in Somalia should only have somali citizenship. No secondary loyalty. Also all future somali presidents should be born or raised within the nation. We want people who have a actually stake within the nation and a person is less likely to be shady when they're stuck in their position.

Somalia is a Somali country therefore any Somali is by default a citizen of Somalia with or without the passport.
Somalia needs to attract the growing educated class of Kenya , if it was up to me i'd offer them field positions in the government and hire them to teach in the SNU
As for Western Somali graduates a sort of volunteer program for those who are interested in sharing expertize within crucial fields like STEM.

Plenty of countries have similar policy, without being accused of infringing upon other countries sovereign territories such as Germany and Greece.
It seems like these rhetorics coming from some politicians are driven by political interests. They have right to their own political views, but their intentions needs to be clear rather than hiding behind unfounded pretext.

But uffffff is what I have to say. A Somali isnāt an ajnabi, especially reer Ogaden whom many of our fathers and grandparents were roped into the 1977 war. Our people fought to try and free Ogadenia even though it was a disastrous campaign, but now you wants say theyāre āajnabiā.
From my understanding the government position is until they are nationalised citizens (they would have to go through the application process), they are not considered Somali nationals, but they are automatically granted citizenship once they apply. Am I understanding this correctly ??
