majority of people here grew up in western countries where 99% celebrate Christmas & we still don't participate in it.

If you Muslim you can't participate in it, periodt .
Christian's should celebrate Christmas, not Muslims .

Grew up^ yes if you live in the west in a Christian country you’ll obviously see it around you. I never denied that it wasn’t haram either.

but Egypt is a different case then a western country, despite the fact that a majority of people there are Muslims they have smt called Respect for other minorities and won’t discriminate or kill off minorities simply because off religious difference, something so foreign to us! That respect doesn’t even exist in Somalia because you’ll be hunted down.

Egypt Christian Population also exists there longer then the Islamic population. It first came in Egypt in the year 33 and became a major religion in the 300’s after the Roman Empire put the edict of Milan, this surprised Paganism ( btw they already were celebrating Christmas aka Saturnalia). it’s the second largest religion in Egypt and Christians and Ramadan is celebrated among Muslims and Christians because of their unity and respect for each other which has brought them to have a religious harmony, a harmony that doesn’t even exist in many countries in the Muslim world. Islam became a state religion in the 80s, before it didn’t had a state religion. freedom of belief and worship is also absolute in Egypt, again smt we do not have, hence why people are saying ugly things right here on this forum daily about non Islamic believers.

Ion celebrate shit, las time I celebrated my birthday was like….elementary school. Didn’t know Mawlid was a thing till recently and Halloween and New Years are a definite no. Those are good sleep days. But anyway this wasn’t about me. Everything else is just irrelevant to the topic, I’m a muslim so I would encourage non muslim in participation in our celebrations but I wouldn’t encourage a muslim to celebrate unislamic holidays.

Christians are not MUSLIMS, why should I care what they do? Why should I appease them? 99% of these Christians don’t even read the bible. Last I heard they were kicking Pastors out of the covenant for not wanting to officiate gay marriages in my own CITY.

They are not making a fuss if they see a Christian celebrating Ramadan with a Muslim or celebrate Hanukkah with a Jew, they are supposed to accept the differences they have with other humans. Hence why I referenced “love your neighbour” sentence.

Again your argument doesn’t make sense because there’s a difference between a western person who’s grandparents/parents are christians and Arabian christians. Arabian christians are still heavily believers and follow the bible to the core in their countries, similar to the Ethiopians/Eritreans in their country.

Jews ,Christian & muslims lived in harmony without participating in the other holidays .

Being respectful to minorities & people of different religions doesn't mean celebrating their holidays.

Popular Christians? The most popular Christians in our life time are not Arabs, they are westerns (Europeans, northern and Southern Americans).
