The commentator is a racist white guy ironically with a soft spot for the Horn of Africa. I'm not making it up, he's been discussed here before.

Also, Somalia is amazing currently for a country in that state. my dad is currently in Hargeisa and he says the country is better developed than many other African countries and things are improving every year (he last went pre covid in 2018).

More than 70% of people in Mogadishu have access to drinking water, garbage is regularly cleaned up, and flies are everywhere regardless of where you go. Dunno what you're yapping on about, but Somalia is making real changes.

My only criticism is the lack of quality control. Some things, like the telephone poles and lines, need to be redone because they’re all messed up. But that will improve as new engineers graduate and are taught to keep their work neat.

Also, I hope we start introducing licenses. I don’t want to see people setting up random food stalls in the middle of the street, blocking the pavement and selling low quality food. keep that shit in Nairobi.

one good thing about our federal system is everyone is working on developing their own areas, instead of all the wealth and development being horded by the capital, like in other African countries.

This is the biggest advantage of Federalism, same thing happened for US states in their early days

Yeah Mungaab has been certified since his first term. Always clamped down on corruption and is big on accountability. Two new roads he recently called out for its renovation has bridges.
