Laws especially Western laws are constantly altered to fit the changing dynamics. It's not a lack of respect nayaa. The country is theirs. I agree that laws obviously change to accommodate everyone. However, America isn’t a home for any muslim let alone any other religious group. I do get the sentiment that the adhan can bring non muslims (even islamophobe sam harris said the adhan is beautiful) but I would much rather us practice our religion in peace without bringing negative attention. Call it doqonimo if u want.
