You didn't aim the question at me but I don't support Somali police officers purely on the grounds that they know systemic racism exists and they have no ability to change it.

Even if 500 Somali police officers join the force ,that wouldn't change the fact the people at the top will have them enforce their racist policies for them. If by becoming a police officer it was actually bringing change to the wider police culture and practices I wouldn't mind but it doesn't.

We need somali's to become lawyers and politicans, they can bring into law , policies that bring real change for us. Not PC Abdi arresting the same two drug dealers for have 5 grams of weed and ruining their life over it. Also with this police officer they are literally using him as diversity quota, his face has been plastered over social media by the police to show "hey guys we ain't racist we got one you skinnes to join us" as if it changes anything

Having a police officer in our community does nothing other than help the police convict somali's for more petty crimes. They are mostly translaters used to listen to phone calls and getting family members to "snitch" on one another . We don't need more of them
