Local elections. With the way Mayor Mooge is talking about things it would make sense to open local elections for non Hargeisa natives if he really cares about turning the city into a cosmopolitan society.

There's thousands of Samaroon in Hargeisa. I myself am Samaroon born and bred in Hargeisa as are half of my family.

Mayor Mooge was referring to business . In order to run and win in the local election you have to be a reer hargeisa to register and also known to the local people since you need their votes. You also have to be funded ( by your subclan or other residents like in case of Batoon) so you could run your local campaign. Samaroons that live in hargeisa didn’t register any candidates and I dont remember hearing they did.

What samaroon was not allowed to run as a candidate? Are you talking about presidential candidates or local government candidates? Because it would not make any sense for a samaroon to run in hargeisa district elections. Who would he represent? Isn’t thats the main purpose of district election. I do also agree to invest in your own land because who else would do.
