No, we should stay in the Arab league because even though the Arabs aren't perfect they're still fellow Muslims and our longest trading partners historically. However, Somalis should indeed be open to making new alliances and going into new trading blocs like the emerging African ones.
I would agree if that actually benefited us. The gulf Arabs are not to be trusted. They fund al kebab and meddle in our affairs. They don't want to see us win
Maybe. But I believe we are too dependent and trusting towards them. Saudi Arabia for example is more with western countries
It is not just the Khaleeji Arabs we deal with, we also deal with Yemenis and Omanis and other members of the Arab league like Egypt who has been our good friends with us for many years.
Being in the Arab league does still benefit us, yes not as much as it used to but we can't afford to leave it just yet.

Had the roles switched, and Somalia been in same position as Arab nations were in 1991, we would’ve sent millions in aid and open our borders to their refugee as fellow Muslims and “historical” trading partners but Arabs didn’t. None of them did besides Yemen. If anything they met us with harsh racism. It’s the west that open its borders and picked up the refugees and provided aid to this very day! You hardly see any Somali diaspora in the Arab world compare to the west...ask yourself why?

From a financial perspective Somalia’s only major economy is live stock trade to the gulf. How brain dead do you have to be to cut ties with you’re only economic partner. Sspot threads are going downhill.
