In my opinion its okay if a Somali doesnt id as black and Somali only but when they push the “caucasian” and “close to berbers” thing as a reason it shows that they desperately want to associate themselves with caucasian and non-African people probably because they have a higher status in the world. Laakin a true caucasian is far less likely to accept a Somali as their race than a bantu is. So I think if anything you should identify as Somali only otherwise it seems like there is an inferiority complex at play. Just my thoughts.
