Can you do sorghum production in the SR?
There is no map on that as Addis and Jigjiga does not do data on that (also DDS is not facing a famine or something so no NGOs are mapping that either).

But the woredas in where Sorghum is grown is as follows: Jigjiga, Shiniile, Fik

Country side is very difficult because a lot of "FGS" towns are run by Shabaab in what they call "night governance" so the FGS mayor becomes an "emir" when the sun goes down. Other than that this is very accurate, though I would like to compare to this map:

Which apparently puts the entire south besides Xamar as AS or contested.
Koormar is what they call it in Somali. There are whole districts in even Xamar that are governed by AS at night

Alshabab doesn't govern these districts but they have spies and assassins who would just shoot you and then hide inside any of the thousands of homes of sympathizers.
My friends who are low-level government workers can't afford to set a foot inside most of the districts even during the day. I hate going out with them because they're just so paranoid, always looking over their shoulder. It's like being in a prison for them.
Arsenal have been more quiet recently, tho.

Yo I also superimposed qobol borders as well, now compare this to our food production map and you might see why we are aid dependent...

Well this is in part because Farming is hard in jubaland due to shabaab same in hiraan but its a bit better, also theres not many irrigation canals and infrastructure or value chains

Were not aid dependent were import dependent, and its not that bad but it could be better

There was a recent report on how they and IS militants in north eastern Nigeria tax people under their rule. It was actually interesting. I will try find it on twitter and post.

Absolutely insane, how can you even counter this if you were fgs

Re-introduction of the death penalty for these offenses; treason and collusion with enemy forces.
Thats a speedrun to overthrow FGS, maybe if they were competent enough and dominated Shabaab the inhabitants would agree, at this point every village should have a sort of garrison or some kind of well equipped well remunerated military police if this is to be avoided

When you think about it only lacaag can save fgs

I thought that was random officers and local leaders and not FGS
Lots of shabaab recruits infiltrate SNA to kill officers and some are caught and executed, officers are the backbone of a modern army, when AY and other Mj officers left kacaan he started losing the 77 war, this is why shabaab specifically put hits on military commanders, without them the already weak army crumbles

search it up even recently there was an assasination attempt on a sna commander

Yes I have heard abt that, but I remember reading somewhere that technically the security forces do alot of things they by law cannot do but the gov turns a blind eye (execution, torture, interrogation, bribing ppl for info, NISA's whole existence as NSS/Hangash 2.0) because it helps them fight the enemy.

But giving the courts, police, and security forces the legal ability to actually do things and retaliate in kind will mean that tyrannical moves are checked while harm to the enemy is maximized.

If they were half as competent as Hangaash we would never see a suicide bomber in the country. Those guys use to put the fear of god into anyone working against MSB goverment. Your next door neighbour, best friend, your mom or uncle you never knew which one was a Hangaash/NSS informant or even agent. Lol that's why all the rebel groups organized outside the country not until the final months of Kacaan rule did they even feel remotely safe going into any major city.
