The problem is that windows was deceptive. Most african countires had no actual educated labor force to even began to build with.

You cant really compare that with india or china which had a large class of educated bureaucrats to work with. The first generation of educated modern African elites only emerged around ww2 in the 1940s this was about 50 years after it emerged in china and India.

To be clear here we are not talking about the masses but the elite classes.

The guy is spreading racist narrative of the white supremacists, civilization was started from black man. East Africa was the origins of civilization look at ancient Egypt it's history is was started in upper Egypt which was black dominated, Tutankhamen was a east African so was his family, they lied about his DNA and said he has European genes. The story that black didn't build any civilization is a lie still being told do cover up real black ancient history

Do you mean they had a large Western-educated class? That’s true to some extent especially in India, where colonial policies produced a sizable number of English educated bureaucrats for the colonial administration. China too had pockets of reformist and modern educated elites.

But it’s important to note that, despite those elite classes, the majority of the population in both India and China remained illiterate and impoverished well into the mid-20th century.

So I think the original point about GDP per capita wasn’t necessarily about institutional capacity or education, but about a missed window of opportunity an economic position where, with the right leadership or support, African nations could have potentially accelerated development in a way similar to East Asia. That window didn’t reflect readiness, but potential

Somalia probably had the largest potential out of them all if it hadn't been externally derailed. There was a sizeable educated class developing both inside and outside the country. Somalia made scientific advances in agriculture, veterinary sciences, and its doctors were even performing open heart surgery. It’s a case where political interference, not lack of capability, set back what could have been a regional model for development.

The bigger question is why are all these Distinct Civilizations all characterized as "Black" Civilizations?

Chinese, and Arabs are pale/white skinned yet would you consider the Qing Dynasty and Rashidun Caliphate to be "White" Civilizations?
