I disagree. Somali youth are changing and seem to be adopting the views of people outside their community. They are not as self-assured as the older generation. Hence, the immature tirades online (Twitter, TikTok and so forth).

From personal experience colourists rub me the wrong way. As most Somali men who pedestalize me are sadly of the darker hue spectrum. It is very counter to my father who has never cared for complexion. We are more feature centric in my home. Alx.
