@Reiko and I will make sure you fail. Our combined bitterness from lesbianism and failed engagement will prevail!

Hey Steam,

Love, acceptance and positivity comes natural to the human heart, everything else like bitterness and failure is a state of mind that is picked up at some point because of bad experiences. But it's so much easier and it feels so much better just to be the best that u can be, than have ur guard up all the time ready to never be taking advantage of again. Please give it a try :)

Brother we cannot force people
They have to happily accept
They say patience is life
We will give them time
To rethink
And make their own decisions
And when they’re ready we will open our arms
U have spoken the truth walalo. I was so caught up in sharing the goodness of jiorism, that i forgot one of its main principles...:meleshame:

@Jiron how do you feel about Somali self-haters, half-Somalis, and the Somali brand going forward?

Until you answer this, I will reserve my judgement on you Jiron Madow

Wow I just got off of work, so I would like to apologize for responding late.

I am so moved right now with how positive everyone is, I am in my car just completely taking back smiling from ear to ear as cars pass by thinking I just got promoted or a raise. Only if they knew it's something far greater than material gain, it's a lifestyle. I normally quote everyone one and respond with a message of positivity but right now I just want a group hug.
:friendhug:

It's not going to be easy and I want you'll to know it's ok to mess up, but u have to remember that it's a journey and not something that happens over night. Always keep in mind that ur ultimate goal is to contribute posts in a positive matter, to promote peace and dialogue. I appreciate this movement, I wanna thank each and every one of u :)

1) Sometimes in life we go through different phases, I believe some people because of maybe bad experience might believe the grass is greener on other side. However sooner or later, they will realize that ever group including Somalis have their fair share of bad and good people. I would recommend that u be patient with a person who might be currently experienceing frustration with their identity. Try to show them that they are valued member of the community and when they are ready, that they will be accepted back with open arms.

2) Half Somalis are no different to me than full Somalis, there's no room in today's society for people who promote the outdated concept of ethno/racial supremacy. Jiron loves every one and considers half Somalis like family just as I do with those with both Somali parents.

3) I have never lost hope for the Somali brand regardless of all the problems we have faced in the past and the issues we are experiencing today. Inshallah we will soon leave behind useless qabiil based structure embedded into almost every fabric of our culture. Once we do that and we embrace each other as individuals, rather than a collective group. The sky is the limit :)
