the scary thing is, this bomb was originally intended to explode at 100 megatons (100' million tons of TNT) but they reduced the destructive power because the radiation omitted would create a nuclear fallout, so they dialled it down to 58 Megatons which is still equivalent to all the explosive used in WW2 combined, times 10!!! and remains to this day the most destructive nuclear bomb ever detonated

Life on Earth was very close to being completely wiped out in the early 60s and no one even knows about it
